These Terms & Conditions apply to all customers, swimmers, parents, guardians and visitors using our services.
Important Safety Policy
All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible parent or guardian who remains on-site throughout their swimming lesson.
Children must not be dropped off and left unattended.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for their children before and after their scheduled lessons, including in reception, changing rooms and waiting areas.
Splash Aquatics instructors are responsible for providing appropriate instruction and supervision during scheduled lessons.
1. Bookings & Enrolment
- All swimming lessons must be booked through our approved booking system or directly with Splash Aquatics.
- Bookings are confirmed once accepted and the required initial payment has been received.
- No swimming lesson space is guaranteed until the booking has been confirmed.
- Enrolment secures a reserved class space, instructor allocation, staffing and associated operational commitments.
- Spaces are limited and allocated according to availability.
- Customers must provide accurate registration information.
- Splash Aquatics reserves the right to recommend an alternative class based on age, ability or safety considerations.
- Class availability may change at any time until a booking is confirmed.
2. Membership Structure & Teaching Year
Splash Aquatics operates an ongoing monthly membership system.
- The standard Learn to Swim membership costs £60 per month.
- Membership provides a reserved place in a regular weekly swimming class.
- Lessons operate across 50 teaching weeks per year.
- Two weeks are excluded from the annual teaching programme for planned closures.
- Membership fees are calculated across the teaching year and spread evenly over 12 monthly payments.
- Memberships continue automatically until cancelled.
- Membership is based on a reserved class space rather than individual attendance.
- Monthly payments remain consistent regardless of whether a calendar month contains four or five scheduled lessons.
Planned closure dates will be communicated to customers in advance.
3. Payments & Membership Fees
- Monthly membership payments are due on the 1st of each calendar month.
- Payments may be collected by Direct Debit or another approved payment method.
- The standard monthly Learn to Swim membership fee is £60.
- Customers joining partway through a month may be required to make an initial payment.
- For eligible reception bookings, the initial payment is calculated at £14.40 per scheduled lesson in the initial billing period, including the first lesson, capped at £60.
- The initial payment amount will be confirmed before booking.
- Membership fees must be paid by their due date.
- Customers are responsible for maintaining valid payment details.
- Failed payments may result in temporary suspension of lessons following reasonable notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
Splash Aquatics reserves the right to review membership fees. Any changes affecting existing members will be communicated in advance.
4. Cooling-Off Period
Where applicable under UK consumer law, customers booking online or at a distance may have a statutory 14-day cancellation period.
If a customer requests that lessons begin during an applicable cooling-off period, they may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services already supplied, where permitted by law and where the necessary request and information requirements have been satisfied.
Any refund due will be calculated in accordance with applicable consumer legislation.
Statutory cancellation rights are separate from our standard membership cancellation policy.
5. Membership Cancellation Policy
Splash Aquatics operates the following monthly cancellation arrangements.
Cancellations requested between the 1st and 7th of the month:
- Membership will end on the final day of the same calendar month.

Cancellations requested between the 8th and the final day of the month:
- One final £60 monthly payment will be due on the 1st of the following month.
- The swimmer may continue attending lessons until the end of the following month.
- Membership will then terminate automatically.
Cancellation requests must be submitted through an available membership cancellation facility or directly to Splash Aquatics.
